Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad (SO) is nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.

Eligible counties: San Diego and Imperial. Schools within San Diego and Imperial counties may send up to 6 teams to compete at the San Diego Regional Tournament.

Tournament site selection starts October 28 at 8:00 AM
Tournament site selection starts on October 28 at 8:00 AM and ends on December 15 at 9:00 PM. Teams may self-select, switch tournament site or stay at the current scheduled tournament (Participating schools, Regional column), options are subject to available spots at each site. Site selection function is located at Head Coach Dashboard, School Profile. Spots are not guaranteed until registration fees are received and processed. Number of teams advancing to State and event and school Awards will be based on tournament site per division.
