Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad (SO) is nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.

Eligible counties: San Diego and Imperial. Schools within San Diego and Imperial counties may send up to 6 teams to compete at the San Diego Regional Tournament.

Volunteer Opportunities
Participating schools are responsible for sending one adult volunteer per registered team to serve as a proctor, except for schools sending 6 teams. Schools sending 6 teams are required to provide 7 adult volunteers.
