We are planning to run and score all Division B events, including all build events, at the regional level. Division A events will match the Southern California Division A event slate (still TBA). Event schedules will match the National/SoCal State schedule.

Registration for Division B begins at https://scilympiad.com/ca-svso on Sunday, October 2nd at 12 PM PDT and closes on January 1st, 2023, or when full. We ask for a registration fee of $175 per team. If this is a barrier to your team’s entry, please let us know. Please submit payments by sending a check payable to “Sierra Vista Middle School” to 2 Liberty, Irvine, CA 92620 in an envelope marked “Science Olympiad: Shaun Evola”.

We are capping registration at 50 Division B teams and each school may register up to three teams at the time of registration and waitlist an additional three. Your teams will only be officially registered once the registration form and payment have been received and we have confirmed your registration with your State organization. If there are spots left after registration closes, we can accept waitlisted alternate teams. Details for Division A registration will be announced at a later date.

Teams may be asked to provide volunteers to help supervise events, but as always, our exams will be written by our top-tier writing team of National Event Supervisors and other accomplished Science Olympians. Medals will be awarded to the top 6 places in each event as well as trophies to the top 5 overall schools. We also plan to continue our long-standing tradition of awarding prizes to the first-place team in each Division B event. In the past, this has included gift cards, Flight event kits, and other items donated by the community. Feel free to reach out if you know anyone who can donate event prizes.
