Science Olympiad is nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.
SciOly @ NU is an organization created in spring 2021 at Northwestern University. We are committed to serving the Science Olympiad community by hosting an annual Northwestern Invitational for Division C (and hopefully Division B in the future) teams. Our next Satellite format invitational will be held on Saturday, February 26th, 2022.
Our hard limit on the # of teams attending is 85 (Ignoring the Northwestern Dummy Team; that is for internal testing and will not actually be competing). If teams drop out, we will allow other teams from the waitlist to register and attend the tournament. After January 26th (the payment deadline), however, we will lock our attending teams roster. If a school still wants to register after that point, you will need to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss that with us.
Students can now take tests online.
