Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include life sciences, earth & space sciences, physical science & chemistry, technology & engineering and inquiry & nature of science. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.

Delaware Science Olympiad inspires students to achieve the next level in their science education through exciting and challenging competitions. Delaware will have Ping Pong Parachute as the 2026 State event for Div C and Balloon Race for Div B.  These count for medals and overall team placement.
