Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition designed to increase students' interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. The Montana Science Olympiad is hosted annually by the Montana State University Science Math Resource Center.

Montana's state tournament will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 using this Scilympiad platform.

Montana students can choose from 14 scored events for middle school teams (Division B) and 14 for high school teams (Division C). Events cover a range of topics, including Earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. The event list for the 2020-2021 Science Olympiad season is on the Science Math Resource Center website and in Scilympiad.
