Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a nationwide organization dedicated to promoting science education through conducting competitive science tournaments. As part of the Science Olympiad organization, Arkansas Science Olympiad is dedicated to inspiring a passion for science by providing hands-on activities, stimulating a creative atmosphere for science and technology education, and hosting tournaments in which student can showcase their skills.

Science Olympiad competitions are like track meets, consisting of a series of up to 23 events in each division (Division B is middle school; Division C is high school). Each year, a portion of the events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, mechanical engineering and technology.

Announcements

Registration: Welcome to the 2021-2022 Science Olympiad season. Team registration for divisions B and C beings on Tuesday September 6, 2022 and ends on Friday December 16, 2022.

Virtual Protocol: If circumstances arise that prevent us from hosting a face-to-face tournament, we will switch to a Mini SO format and send an announcement out to all registered teams.

My SO: My SO is back for the 2022-2023 season. This program complements the traditional Science Olympiad program and is part of each team's registration. Each month is connected to a popular Science Olympiad subject like Engineering, Space, or Forensics. Visit https://www.soinc.org/myso for details and to register for the test.
