Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Science Olympiad is designed to increase a student’s interest in STEM fields and provide recognition for outstanding achievement in team events. Students compete in Science Olympiad with the top teams advancing from Regional to State to National levels.

Trial Events will be Mystery Architecture, Science Quiz Bowl, Chemistry Clue, and Mission Possible.
 Optics question: "Our team is not understanding what a "template" is and how we can use it during the laser shoot. Answer: we define a "template" as "a shaped and/or marked piece of thin, flat material (paper, cardstock, thin plastic, etc.) used to aid in the placing and alignment of mirrors.
Experimental Design:  Please bring SCISSORS as well as a RULER to the event.           Forensics:  Kit should contain Safety goggles, Lab coat, non-latex gloves, Ruler, Plastic droppers (2-3), Tweezers , Stirring rods, Flame loop. Pencils and paper for notes.
