NUSO Invitational Registration Opens Soon
Registration for the 2027 Northwestern University Science Olympiad Invitational will open on October 2, 2026.
We look forward to welcoming teams to the Northwestern University Evanston campus for both the Division B and Division C tournaments.
2027 Tournament Dates Announced
The Division B Invitational will be held on February 6, 2027, and the Division C Invitational will be held on February 20, 2027.

We are excited to announce that the 2027 Northwestern University Science Olympiad (NUSO) Division C Invitational will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2027! Registration for the invitational will open on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST through our Scilympiad page. Registration will occur on a first-come, first-served basis, with a registration cap of two teams per school. If our tournament reaches capacity, additional teams will be placed on our waitlist.
The standard per-team registration fee will be $150. An early-bird rate of $125 per team will be available for payments received by December 1st. To make our tournament more accessible, the team registration fee can be waived for schools that qualify as Title I. All payments will now be made online instead of by mailed check, although exceptions can be made for schools that are unable to make payments online. If payment is made by mailed check, the early-bird rate will only apply to payments received by the deadline, not payments that are merely sent or postmarked by December 1st. More information about team registration and payment procedures will be sent in an upcoming email and can be found on our Scilympiad page.
We are also excited to announce that NUSO will be hosting a Division B Invitational on Saturday, February 6th, 2027! As this is our first year running a Division B Invitational, this tournament will be held on a smaller scale than our Division C Invitational. If your school has a Division B team, we strongly encourage you to consider bringing them to compete at our new Division B Invitational. We are excited to expand NUSO to Division B!
The team registration fee will be $100, and registration will be free for schools that qualify as Title I schools. An early-bird rate will not be available for the Division B Invitational. Each school may register a maximum of one Division B team for the tournament. Registration for the Division B Invitational will open on the same day as Division C registration: October 2nd, 2026, at 2:00 PM CST.

This is a reminder that registration for both our Division B and Division C NUSO Invitationals opens today, October 2nd, at 2 PM CST on our Scilympiad page. To register, visit the registration page and click “Register Your School”, then complete the required information.
A few important notes about registration:
- Payment will not be made through Scilympiad. More information about how and where to send payment will be provided in a future email.
- We strongly recommend registering as soon as registration opens at 2 PM CST, as our tournaments tend to fill up quickly.
- Once a tournament reaches capacity, additional teams will be placed on our waitlist.
