Santa Clara County Regional Tournament Updates

9/9/22
School/Team Registration is now open at https://scilympiad.com/santa-clara-so to one Head Coach per team. You will be notified when registration for Assistant Coaches is open. Be sure to include your school name. When registering a team the school name is the team name. If registering more than one team (up to three teams) please use the school name and a color name, i.e. Fremont Blue and Fremont Green.
Registration is not final until the reg fee is paid,  the school principal has approved the school to participate and the Head Coach. When you register an email will be sent to the principal automatically by the system.
Registration Fee is $350 per team and raises to $400 after December 15, 2022. Each TEAM must also provide volunteers, Event Supervisor and Assistants, for one event. Unfortunately, we do not know how many, if any, college students are available to supervise events on tournament date, so the option to pay more for no volunteers is not available. Once registered, the Head Coach will receive a list of events in which to choose their event for each team. If a college student is available for the event you have chosen you will be notified and ask to provide assistants only.
Tournament Date & Location at this point in time is Saturday, March 11, 2023 at City College. The tournament rule of play is in-person. ALL ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE UNFORTUNATELY. You will be notified immediately of changes.

7/26/22 UPDATE:
San Jose City College will once again host our 2023 Santa Clara County Science Olympiad tournament. Once I have the date I will let you know. Please do not register until notified as the website has not been updated.

2023 Registration Fee Refunds
are available until January 11, 2023. At that time the tournament format will be finalized and all teams must use the SAME format that will be determined by the tournament Director. The format used will be in-person and is subject to change. If a team participated in an Invitational, then the $60 National Membership fee will not be refunded.

Updated NorCal Tournament Rules
are available on the website. Please note the following change: The three top scoring teams from different schools in each division (B & C) at a Regional tournament advance to the State Finals. As always, only one team per school advances to the State Finals tournament.
