2025-2026Science Olympiad Registration

Divisions B (grades 6-9), Division C (grades 9-12)

Thank you for your interest in the 2025-2026 Science Olympiad season. To compete, the following requirements must be met:

1. Register Online (see below for details)
2. Pay required membership fees (see below for fee schedule)
3. Complete Required Registration Documents (due at time of tournaments)
   • Publicity Waiver (for students and coaches)
     
   • General Release of All Claims
   • Division B Roster of Participating Students OR
   • Division C Roster of Participating Students

Limit on the number of teams per school

Each team has a maximum of 15 students. There is no minimum number of students per team. Only one team from each school is eligible to compete at a qualifying tournament (Regionals and State). Additional teams may compete at Invitational tournaments, but they must also be registered. Extra students may be "alternates" for your team in case a team member is not able to compete on tournament day. However, on the tournament day, you cannot switch out one of the 15 with an alternate if they have already started competing

Registration (Due Wednesday, December 31):

Online registration is required. We will use your registered contact information for communication purposes and to confirm your intention to participate in the 2025-2026 Science Olympiad season. Team lists are not required during this process; only school and Head Coach or designated Co-Head Coach profiles are required. Once registered, Head Coaches or designated Co-Head Coaches may add additional team members to assist with team management. High school students may NOT  register as Head Coaches and/or Co-Head Coaches. Participating students must use the student login Tab only.

Membership Fee Schedule:

Teams are not officially registered until membership fees are received and processed. Additional teams from a school only pay the National fee.
(National $75 per team + State $140 per school; no fee for only doing My SO)

Teams are required to pay fees to the National and State Science Olympiads to participate. Rules Manuals will be available for free download from the National Science Olympiad organization (soinc.org) starting September 3, 2025.
