WSO B Invitational Registration
Divisions B (grades 6-9)
Registration is open till Jan 30th, 2027. You can add your team to the waitlist if full. We will move teams off waitlist if there are support on our backend for more teams.
In order to compete at our Satellite SO tournament, the following requirements must be met:
- Register Online (see below for details).
- Pay required registration fees - $60 per team. You need to be officially registered with your state to participate. All proceeds after covering expenses will go to WSO to support regional outreach.
For WA new schools, WA Title-I schools, or WA schools from under-represented areas, you can apply for fee waiver by contacting statedirector@washingtonscienceolympiad.com. - Input roster of participating students on the coach dashboard and share the assigned student ID with students.
- Prepare schedule for student to compete (ideally teams from same school compete at the same time when taking online tests)
- The test taking can be asynchronous throughout the test window
- Students need to know and follow Science Olympiad code of ethics, national rule manual, and basic honor code. Basically no student should take unfair advantage of others during competition.
- Coaches should make effort to adhere to the Satellite SO format outlined in the national website https://www.soinc.org/play/tournaments. We understand each team may have a unique situation. For any questions, email statedirector@washingtonscienceolympiad.com.
Online registration is required, especially due to the available online functions such as submission of team names, self-scheduled event signups, and online scoring. Once registered, Head Coaches or designated Co-Head Coaches may add additional team members to assist with team management.
