2026 Science Olympiad Registration
Division A (grades K-6), Divisions B (grades 6-9), Division C (grades 9-12)
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Science Olympiad season. In order to compete, the following requirements must be met:
- Register Online (see below for details)
- Pay required membership fees (see below for fee schedule)
- Complete any Required Registration Documents sent to you by your regional tournament director (usually sent in January if your director needs anything)
Limit on number of teams per school
Each team has a maximum of 15 students. There is no minimum number of students per team. Coaches should contact the state director for special permission to have more than two teams registered per division.
Registration:
Online registration before Nov 15, 2025 is required - complete the Online Registration as soon as possible. We will use your registered contact information for communication purposes and to confirm your intention to participate in the 2026 Science Olympiad season. Team member (student) registration is not required during this process, only school profiles and Head Coach or designated Co-Head Coach profiles are required. Once registered, Head Coaches or designated Co-Head Coaches may add additional team members to assist with team management, but it currently not required. High school students may register as Head Coaches and/or Co-Head Coaches.
Schools are required to register at the tournament location closest to them, unless given explicit permission from ASHLEY due to an extenuating circumstance. If you are equally in between more than one location, you may choose whichever tournament works best for your team(s). Knoxville schools, we are requesting (but not requiring) that you register for the ETSU location in anticipation of local teams needing the spots at the more centralized locations.
We are anticipating full registration at most if not all tournament locations this season and will be working on a first come, first serve basis, with the use of a waiting list where necessary. We recommend getting registered as quickly as possible to reserve your spot.
Similar to last year, your payment is due within 30 days of registering to finalize your spot at your registered location. If a school does not pay their registration fees within 30 days of registering, the spot will be given to the next school on the waiting list (where applicable) and they will have 30 days to send in payment. If there is not a waiting list for the location, the school will still be taken off the registration list and will be expected to re-register when they are able to get their payment sent to Chatt State within 30 days.
Membership Fee Schedule:
Teams are not officially registered until membership fees are received and processed.
$275 first team/division + $225 each additional team/division
*If your school is bringing a team for Div B and Div C, both teams would pay $275 each.
*If your school is bringing two Div B teams, it would be $275 for the first and $225 for the second.
Teams are required to pay fees in order to participate in Invitational, Regional, State, or National tournaments.
New schools, or schools that have not had a team for 5 years, have a reduced membership fee of $225.
