Rice University Science Olympiad Invitational Registration

C (grades 9-12)

Thank you for your interest in the Rice University Science Olympiad Invitational. If you run into any issues with registration please reach out to us at "ricesoaa@gmail.com". The 2022 Rice University Science Olympiad Invitational will take place virtually on January 15, 2022. Here are the steps to ensure your registration for the tournament.

1. Re-register via Scilympiad. Registration will close on January 13, 2022 at noon and you will be able to adjust your roster and assign events to your students until January 14, 2022 at 11:59 PM.  
2. Send check, made out to Rice University Science Olympiad Alumni Association, to 2412 Nottingham Street, Houston, TX, 77005. Or, pay online via this portal. Registration fee is $50/team. Max 3 teams per school. If you have already paid the fee originally charged for the in-person tournament ($100/team), you have the following options:
   • Bring another team, free of charge, and receive NO refund (regardless of whether you originally paid for one or two teams)
   • Receive a refund of $50 per team originally paid for — keep in mind that this process may take 2 to 3 months due to Rice recently switching to a new financial management system
   • If you are a Title 1 or other low income school that originally paid a reduced fee, please let us know if you encounter financial hardships and we will refund half of what you originally paid
3. Complete required documents.
