Update 8: October 26, 2026
Hello coaches,
We are excited to begin the competition today! Here are some final updates.
Meteorology
The image sheet for Meteorology has been added to the Confidential Coaches Document. Since it is being added so late, it will not be mandatory; images will be provided in Scilympiad, but it can be useful if they do not load properly.
Codebusters
The Codebusters submission form has been added to the event modifications.
Event Slate and Modifications
The Event Slate and Modifications Document should now be final. If there are any updates or errors, we will let you know.
Event Supervisor Schedule
The event supervisor schedule had some minor updates: Hovercraft will be supervised on Wednesday instead of Monday and Disease Detectives will no longer be supervised on Monday. There might be further changes depending on our event supervisors’ individual schedules.
Team Numbers and Payment
If you have not received your team numbers yet, please confirm your payment before 11:59 PM PT today and we will assign team numbers. Student rosters can be updated until 10/27 11:59 PM PT in case team numbers are assigned late.
Communications are run by current team captains who will be attending class, so we may not be able to respond to emails until after 3:30 PM PT. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

Update 7: October 24, 2026
Hello coaches,
Here are some brief updates before competition starts on Monday!
Codebusters
Codebusters has been updated in the event modifications to reflect its difficulty as a states/nationals level test. The submission form will be updated soon.
Ping Pong Parachute
The Ping Pong Parachute scoresheet has been updated and attached to both the Event Slate and Modifications Document and Confidential Coaches Document. Please print it out for scoring.
Circuit Lab
The Circuit Lab Image Sheet was updated. If you have already printed it, please note to your competitors that Image H was removed and the subsequent images have a different label (i.e. Image I is now Image H).
Team Numbers and Payment
If you have not received your team numbers yet, please contact us with confirmation of payment so that we can allow you to compete even if we have not received the payment yet. If you have sent a check, we will not be able to retrieve it until Monday 10/26, so let us know and we can assign team numbers.

Update 6: October 22, 2026
Hello,
Team numbers have been assigned to teams that we have received payment from as of 9:00 AM PT 10/22.
Teams who we receive payments from later will be given team numbers after the payment is processed. If you are concerned about your payment arriving in time, please contact us with some confirmation of payment before 10/26 and we can assign numbers in advance.

Update 5: October 21, 2026
Hello coaches, here are some changes since Monday:
Confidential Coaches Document
Circuit Lab and Rocks and Minerals have been updated with image sheets.
Official Science Olympiad Documents
Scoresheets were released yesterday, so they have been input into both the Confidential Coaches Document and the Event Slate and Modifications Document. Submission forms will still collect all necessary information for scoring, so please have competitors transfer the information from the scoresheets to the forms. Please also have scoresheets printed for each team and submit them along with the video.
Ping Pong Parachute was not updated; we will add the scoresheet if it gets released before the beginning of the competition. Otherwise, continue to use the submission form in place of a scoresheet.
For Experimental Design, the report packet is the same as last year, so we will use the attached document already in the Confidential Coaches Document.
Codebusters
The format for Codebusters has changed. Codebusters will be conducted partially through Scilympiad and partially on paper. All questions must be done on paper and then scanned and submitted into the submission form. The timed question will also be submitted in Scilympiad so that an accurate time score can be recorded.
Team Numbers
We plan on assigning team numbers this Thursday 10/22. Only teams that we have received payment from will be given team numbers at that time. If we receive more payments afterward, those teams will be assigned numbers consecutively following the used numbers. Once your team has a number, you will be able to submit a student roster and assign events.

Update 4: October 19, 2026
Hello coaches,
Confidential Coaches Document
The Confidential Coaches Document has been updated with most of the documents that need to be printed. Circuit Lab, Meteorology, and Rocks and Minerals will be updated soon. Documents were previously listed as optional, but they are now mandatory in order to make the tests more accessible.
Event Supervisor Schedule
The event supervisor schedule can be found here. To reiterate, competitors are free to take the test anytime they like. Event supervisors will be available during the stated times to answer questions and help resolve issues.
Official Science Olympiad Documents
Since official Science Olympiad documents have not been released, build scoresheets and Experimental Design report packets cannot be used.
For Experimental Design, the report packet and rubric from the 2025-2026 season will be used.
For all builds other than Boomilever, the submission forms have been updated to collect all necessary information for scoring. Proctors are free to have the submission form open in order to record measurements, but they should still make measurements clear in the video and check for construction parameters stated in the Division B Rules.
The Boomilever scoresheet was released, so it should be printed and filled out during the video. It is linked in the Event Slate and Modifications Document.
Payment Reminder
Registration payment is due Oct. 26 at 11:59 PM PT.
Checks sent in the mail will be processed some time this week as we receive them.

The Confidential Coaches Document has been sent to coaches in a separate email. This has information on required materials and setup for practical portions so coaches can begin collecting necessary items. Events will be updated with test-related documents for printing later.
It is pertinent that no one other than coaches has access to any information found in the Confidential Coaches Document.

Update 2: September 21, 2026
Hello coaches, here are some updates on the invitational:
Event Slate and Modifications
A preliminary event slate and event modifications can be found here. This is preliminary, not every event is finished, but most will generally follow the stated modifications. Official build checklists will be added when they are released. We will send another update when everything is finalized. Some events will have lab portions; in the case that a team is unable to set up the lab, please email sciolytroyhs@gmail.com and we will try to make accommodations for a dry lab.
Tournament Timeline and Schedule
A timeline for the invitational, which includes all important dates and deadlines, can be found here. An event supervisor schedule will be released one week before the competition on Oct. 19. Event supervisors will be available during stated times to help resolve issues and answer questions. Competitors are free to take the tests whenever they choose, regardless if an event supervisor is online.
Registration Reminders
Registration is currently set to close Oct. 19 at 11:59 PM PT. Registration Payment is due Oct. 26 at 11:59 PM PT.
Confidential Coaches Document
The Confidential Coaches Document will be sent to only coaches on Oct. 5 with details for events that require further setup.

Troy High School Invitational Tournament Directors
Update 1: August 31, 2026
We’re thrilled to announce the Troy High School Division B Invitational, hosted by Troy High School Science Olympiad! This year’s tournament will be run by current Troy team members.
Tournament Information
The tournament will take place from October 26, 2026 to November 2, 2026 for Division B teams in the satellite format. All build events will be medal-only, and there will not be any additional trial events. Competitors are free to choose when they complete their exams during the given tournament dates. Exams are designed to help students prepare for regional-level competition, with a range of questions geared to test depth of knowledge typical of new to experienced competitors.
Event modifications will be updated soon!
Awards
The awards ceremony will be on November 8, 2026.
We reserve the right to postpone the ceremony in order to provide the most accurate results possible.
Registration Details
Registration is now open until October 19, 2026! The cost is $80 for the first team and $70 for each additional team from the same school. There is a 10 team limit per school.
There will be a cap of 200 teams in total.
