2026 University of Houston Invitational Registration
Welcome to the registration portal for the inaugural University of Houston Science Olympiad Invitational on Saturday, November 21, 2026. Please review all tournament policies and instructions below before registering your school.
1. Team Limits & Eligibility
- Division: Division C (High School, Grades 9–12).
- Tournament Cap: Strictly capped at 50 teams on a first-come, first-served basis.
- School Limit: Maximum of 3 teams per school (1 base team + 2 JV team).
- Third Teams: Registration for a third team is now OPEN!
- Affiliation: All competing teams must be officially registered and active with Texas Science Olympiad for the 2026–2027 season.
2. Registration Fees & Deadlines
- Registration Opens: Monday, September 28, 2026, at 12:01 PM CDT.
- Registration Closes: Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM CDT.
- Fee Structure:
- First Team: $175.00
- Second Team: $150.00 ($325.00 total for two teams)
- Third Team: $150.00 ($475.00 total for three teams)
- Payment & PO Deadline: November 7, 2026. Spots not secured by payment or an approved Purchase Order voucher by this date will be offered to waitlisted schools.
3. Payment Methods
- School District Checks: Make checks payable to Science Olympiad at UH and mail to:

Houston, TX 77204 - If your district or school bookkeeper requires our tax information to set us up as an approved vendor:
- School District Purchase Orders (POs): If paying via district PO, email an approved copy of your purchase order voucher to sciolyalumniatuh@gmail.com by November 7, 2026, to hold your team's reservation.
- PayPal: Payment can be completed directly through your coach invoice checkout upon registration.
4. Required Participant Documentation
- All required participant forms and release documents will be posted in late October once registration has closed and teams are finalized.
- Head coaches will collect completed paper forms and submit their school's envelope at morning check-in on Saturday, November 21.
