Do parent/guardians need their own Scilympiad accounts in order to undersign a release form for their student?

Please give instructions for parents to undersign release forms. Do they need their own accounts? One looks like they did use their own account, but the undersigned name is still the student. I even tried to do it as a test student and it did not work correctly....please help.

Your tournament or state may have different policy, but in general, parents or guardians must be the undersigned for the minors. An account with Scilympiad is required since the undersigned's authentication is served as online signature. So, when the undersigned registers an account or logs in (if already registered previously), the name associated with the email used to log in should be the name of the undersigned. If you log in using a student's email, then the undersigned is the name of the student.
